The Associate Creative Director (ACD) leads internal teams and external agencies in the development of wide-ranging, omni-channel creative executions. The ACD brings an inspiring team-first attitude and is equally comfortable pitching concepts and guiding teams in the creation of brilliant and impactful creative assets. Leverage your background in branding, graphic design, and advertising to bring the Starbucks brand to life in innovative ways, while ensuring we show up consistently and effectively for our customers.

As Associate Creative Director, you will…

  • Lead creative concepting and execution, ensuring a cohesive and elevated brand expression across channels and platforms.
  • Provide clear and constructive creative direction, delivering feedback to strengthen the work and inspire creative teams.
  • Architect and delivers impactful presentations that demonstrate strong strategic foundations and creative vision.
  • Present creative work to internal teams, and cross-functional partners – clearly articulating creative rationale
  • Work with project managers to co-create strategic approach for optimal concepting and execution that ensures schedules are accurate, realistic and deadlines are met.
  • Stay sharply attuned to cultural and consumer trends, translating them into creative insights that result in a consistently high quality of creative output from your team.
  • Collaborate with peers Creative Studio leadership to define new processes and optimize ways of working.
  • Manage a team of direct reports overseeing their day-to-day workload and guiding their growth and development.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 8+ years progressive experience at a creative agency or with an in-house creative team
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts, advertising or equivalent job-related experience
  • An outstanding portfolio showcasing high quality creative expertise across a variety of mediums and channels within branding, advertising campaigns, social media, product, corporate comms, etc.
  • A comprehensive understanding of omnichannel marketing and cultural/industry trends
  • Experience developing a creative team, hiring and managing talent, and motivating individuals and teams to produce outstanding creative
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with working knowledge of programs like Procreate, After Effects, Figma, and Premiere Pro

The pay range for this position may be narrower than that displayed, depending on where the work is performed.
