SUMMARY OF ROLE:
This role involves operating various machines including braiders, wardwells, and skivers to braid tube before covering the hose.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively manage and operate multiple machines simultaneously
Become familiar with different yarns and tube specifications
Prepare machines according to specification sheets
Connect tube lengths, replace yarn bobbins, and lubricate machines
Check product dimensions and record measurements
Change and install jacket stock if necessary
Order yarn supply as required
Promote professionalism among colleagues and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers
Ensure adherence to safety practices and guidelines, including 5S+
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Natural High-Performance Team to identify improvement opportunities
Participate in project teams, star point teams, and kaizen events as needed
Attend and complete all necessary training to enhance skills in the role
Perform basic troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on machines
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
REPORTING AND COLLABORATION:
Directly report to the Value Stream Team Leader
Work closely with other departments to resolve process and equipment issues
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may experience:
Elevated noise levels from operating machinery
Physical hazards from machine operation and moving reels
Exposure to nuisance fumes
Requirement to wear safety equipment such as steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, and high visibility clothing
Extended periods of standing, regular walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting
Need for manual dexterity under restrictive conditions
Flexibility in working hours and ability to work overtime with short notice
