Reporting to the Theater Department Administrator, the Assistant Administrative Director will provide day-to-day operational support for the department and support cross-unit initiatives and special projects as assigned. The incumbent will manage execution of all aspects of departmental events, from proposal, budgets, logistics and post evaluation. The incumbent will manage all aspects annual recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as student showcase efforts. The Assistant Administrative Director will work on faculty searches in collaboration with the search committee head and serve as back-up to the Department Administrator for administrative and management issues and supervise work study students. The Assistant Administrative Director will work in collaboration with the departmental administrative team and faculty to ensure a wide-range of critical projects are tracked and managed in accordance with goals and delivery dates for both short-term and multi-phased projects.Candidates should have high-level organization skills and demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, interacting with colleagues at various levels of the University, planning and facilitating meetings, and interpreting policies and procedures. The incumbent should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
