Program Administration Admissions CoordinatorDo you want a job where you can use your work experience while making a positive difference in people’s lives? As Admissions Coordinator, you will manage the screening of prospective residents to the facility, working directly with the marketing representative and patients’ families, as well as the payor sources for admission to the facility.
- Manage prospective resident inquiries and provide information regarding available programs and services
- Manage the referral line phone calls and website referral system inquiries
- Facilitate an immediate response by each region to caller’s requests/inquiries
- Provide research and resources to outside and internal callers regarding programs and product lines
- Maintain and update the patient database with prospective resident referrals and their statuses
- Facilitate the determination of each potential resident’s clinical viability
- Work with facility operations staff to determine clinical aptness, appropriate level of care, and justification based on the pre-admission evaluation and the payor contract terms
- Facilitate the determination of each potential resident’s financial viability Identify all types of funding possibilities including primary, secondary, and ancillary insurances, as well as any possible “red flags”
- Verify prospective resident’s health insurance coverage, complete all funding verification protocols, and inform evaluator and facility operations staff of benefits profile
- Contact pre-certification and establish exchange with payor case manager to obtain authorization to admit and confirm the level of care and justification
- Work with payor, facility operations staff, evaluators, and family as necessary to ensure essential components are in place prior to admission
- Complete and process intake form, notify evaluator, and send documents for database input
- Record necessary admission information for all new residents into the billing system
- Distribute records and other documents to appropriate staff for clinical and medical approvals; track and document status of such approvals
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential referral sources
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-4 years of experience; medical field experience preferred
- A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent proficiency in the areas of responsibility may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements
- Experience and general knowledge regarding
- Experience in database management and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented team player with ability to multitask
- Demonstrated skills in communication, problem-solving, and data entry
- Well-organized and responsible
