Customer Service Representative [United States]

Summer Customer Service Representative

Starting at: $19/hr

Overview:

Are you looking for a fast paced, quickly developing role in an exciting start up atmosphere? Revl is looking for a genuine, empathetic, self starter to help ramp up our Customer Service team. The Customer Service Representative is an important part of our business, who will work alongside our software, and field operations teams and learn to tackle complex problems, while providing an exceptional customer experience.

Following the agile nature of startups we are a fast moving team, and you may find yourself learning and working in many different areas of the company if you so desire. There is always something to learn, and ample opportunities for growth. At Revl we strive to be champions for our customers, and are in need of another team member focused on the core of our business, the customer experience. Many times you will be directly speaking with key clients, and important players in our industry. This position is not about how quickly you can resolve an issue; it's about bringing positivity, and building quality relationships with the team and our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all inbound support requests via a ticketing system (HubSpot) and phone calls in a timely, thoughtful, and personalized manner.
  • Further, develop and maintain our customer-facing knowledge book so that customers have the resources to solve problems as they arise.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate technical customer issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Be a voice of the customer for the Product, Software, and Hardware teams, making us aware of issues affecting our customers and passing along suggestions and feature requests.
  • Solve complex problems and help support other teams as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role. That could be technical support, but it could be retail, sales, or another industry. We want people who strive to create an exceptional experience for their customers, regardless of where that may be.
  • Believe that customer support is an integral part of creating champions for Revl.
  • Genuinely enthusiastic about technology -- you don’t need to be an expert, but you should love computers, gadgets, and the future of technology.
  • Ability to navigate complex problems, breaking them down into their various parts, and build solutions for customers, large and small.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and help promote a positive work environment for all.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. You should be able to make complicated explanations easy to understand for anyone with whom you’re speaking.

Preferred Skills:

  • A semi-technical background is nice to have. If you’ve built your own computer, taken some coding classes online, or developed and deployed your own Minecraft server, that counts! Anything beyond that is great.
  • Experience with ZenDesk, HubSpot, Google’s suite of tools, Slack, etc.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion. Up to 10% of the time.
  • Basic business communication knowledge, how to conduct professional emails, speak with clients, and build reports.

Benefits to you:

  • Competitive wage
  • Growth potential
  • Company Holidays
