Job Summary:


The Executive Director (ED) of Talent Acquisition, Northern California market for Kaiser Permanente will be responsible for the highly effective and scalable talent acquisition delivery for the market. This individual will be responsible for leading best practices in candidate identification and sourcing, the implementation of talent acquisition strategies, selection methodologies, talent pipeline development and preboarding. These activities will be executed with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion in each of these key talent acquisition steps. This position will lead a team of internal Talent Acquisition Directors and Managers that fills more than 29,000 positions per year. The ED closely partners with clinical and corporate senior leadership to understand business needs, align and manage Talent Acquisition efforts to support short and long-term organizational objectives.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Talent Acquisition N. California TA team and operations of the full talent acquisition lifecycle, the evolution of the recruiting process, use of talent acquisition tools and methods, and overall effectiveness of talent solutions.-

    Grow, lead, and develop a team of high performing Recruiters, Talent Acquisition Specialists, Talent Acquisition Managers, and Directors to achieve the NCAL market’s staffing needs.

  • Deliver data driven reporting and analytics to identify recruitment activity, market trends, competitive wage analysis, and monitor departmental productivity.-

  • Partner with Market Leadership to understand business needs and effectively source and deliver talent necessary to achieve business outcomes.

  • Establish and maintain metrics that measure staffing performance.

  • Work closely with the market leaders to provide world class customer service and partnership.

  • Partner closely with our National Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (NEID) function to ensure EID consciousness, standards and strategies are embedded in all we do around talent.

  • Ensure we have a diverse early career and leadership bench via internal talent development and external talent pipelines.

  • Design and implement a cohesive talent acquisition strategy to support the system’s strategic and growth initiatives, including strategies to differentiate KP from other companies recruiting for the same top talent.-

  • Development of a pipeline management approach to acquiring talent, including identifying additional sourcing strategies to increase qualified candidates.

  • Identify, develop and retain high performing talent acquisition professionals; create future leaders for the TA/HR organization; and inspire a high-performance culture cultivating a diverse and inclusive work environment.

  • Measure performance of team(s) led with a focus on metrics, specific goal achievement and year-over-year continuous improvement.

  • Stay abreast of high volume research, sourcing and talent acquisition tools and best practices to stay current with market innovations and competitive trends/threats.

  • This position has a target base salary of $288,000 to $360,000 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.


Basic Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum eight (8) years of leadership and management, leading a Human Resources function in healthcare or other comparable labor-intensive industry.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A

Additional Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition strategies and delivery, preferably in a healthcare setting or other comparable multi-entity environment, with understanding of business needs and processes.

  • Experience in leading or working closely with talent management, business, and operations leaders to implement talent strategies in a large organization.

  • Knowledge of labor market, candidate pipeline tactics, and competitor intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Exemplary relationship building skills and the ability to quickly form partnerships across all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large initiatives and facilitate large cross-functional meetings.

  • Knowledge of current federal, state, and local employment and labor laws.

  • Demonstrated exceptional judgement and proven ability to navigate competing priorities.

  • Solid understanding on how to maximize ATS/system technologies.

  • Strong proficiency within the MS office suite.
